Zaptec Index Makes the Real Cost of Driving Clear
How far can you drive on ten euros? With the new Zaptec Index, Zaptec provides a clear answer. The online tool compares petrol, diesel, home charging and public charging across seventeen European countries, showing how many kilometres drivers can travel for the same amount of money.
Instead of displaying complex energy and fuel prices, the tool translates them into a simple metric: driving distance. In the Netherlands, a Volkswagen ID.3 Pro can travel 273 kilometres on ten euros of home-charged electricity, while a comparable petrol car covers just 84 kilometres.
For installers and other e-mobility professionals, the Index offers a practical way to demonstrate the benefits of smart charging. It highlights that not only the choice of vehicle, but also how and where it is charged, has a major impact on running costs. The Zaptec Index supports the growing combination of EV charging, solar power and smart energy management.
